Men's soccer runs unbeaten streak to seven games
The Pipers took the lead at the 15:53 mark in the first half when a Northwestern defender cleared a Hamline cross into the goal. Hamline controled play in the first half, holding a 8-5 edge in shots. Northwestern held a 13-12 advantage in shots for the game, but Hamline had a 6-5 edge in shots on goal for the game. First-year Ryan Fahey made five saves to earn the shutout. Mark Beck took the loss for Northwestern. He also made five saves. The Pipers will play an exhibition game against the University of Minnesota club team on Friday at 4:00 p.m. They will resume MIAC play when they travel to Concordia next Tuesday (Sept. 26). |
