Men's soccer wins fourth straight to open season

First-year Matt Warhol scored a pair of goals to lead Hamline to a 4-2 victory over the Milwaukee School of Engineering Sunday afternoon at Pat Paterson Fields.

Warhol gave the Pipers (4-0) the lead at the 14:50 mark of the first half. He later added a goal at the 79:53 mark of the second half - his third goal of the season.

Hamline grabbed a 2-0 lead at halfime as Mike Landerholm scored on a penalty kick at 33:35 - his first of the season.

Senior forward Jacob Helling netted his fourth goal of the season at 54:08 to give Hamline a 3-0 edge. Helling has scored a goal in each of Hamline's first four games to begin the season.

First-year goalkeeper Ryan Fahey earned the win, making five saves in the contest.

The Pipers will play at St. Mary's on Wednesday. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
