Helling, Dupic named to D3kicks.com All-West Region teams

Senior forward Jacob Helling was named D3kicks.com All-West Region second team while senior Steve Dupic was a third team selection, the website announced on Wednesday.

Helling was named the MIAC's Most Valuable Player this season after he led the entire MIAC in scoring for all games with 14 goals and four assists on the season for 32 points. In conference play, Helling tied for the MIAC lead with 17 points (eight goals, one assist).

He led the Pipers to their second consecutive MIAC Playoff appearance, where they advanced to the MIAC Championship game. Hamline finished the season with a record of 12-5-2, 5-3-2 in the MIAC.

Helling also received ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America third team honors.

Dupic was an All-MIAC first team choice this season after finishing the year with one goal and four assists for six points. He netted his lone goal of the season in the Pipers' 1-0 win over St. John's in the MIAC Semifinals.
