Men's hockey loses to St. Thomas
![]() St. Thomas (14-9, 10-4 in the MIAC) went 4-of-8 on the power play in the contest - all scored by Pernula. He scored twice in the first period as the Tommies grabbed a 4-1 lead on the Pipers (7-16, 3-11). Hamline first-year Kyle Kurr tallied his fifth goal of the season at 15:23 of the first period. He was assisted by Dustin Fulton and Justin Hanna. St. Thomas would add two goals in the second period and another in the third before Fulton scored his 11th goal of the season with an assist from Cole Scattarelli. Hamline goaltender Matt Wanvig stopped 31 shots in the game. Cameron Voss stopped 26 shots for the Tommies. Hamline will close out the regular season next weekend when they play a home-and-home series with Augsburg. They host the Auggies Friday night at Drake Arena. |
