Men's hockey land three on All-MIAC teams

Sophomores Dustin Fulton and Joe Long each were named All-MIAC first team while first-year Cory Krogen earned MIAC All-Rookie honors, the conference office announced on Friday.

Fulton, from Brooklyn Park, Minn., was named to the first team for the second consecutive season. The forward led the Pipers with eight goals and nine assists for 17 points in conference play. Among the tallies were three power-play goals and one game-winning goal. He led Hamline overall with 34 points on 13 goals and 21 assists.

Long, from Dayton, Minn., was named to the first team for the first team after being named honorable mention last season. Long scored four goals and nine assists for 13 points while playing at both forward and defenseman. In all games, he was third on the team overall with 23 points. (13 goals, 10 assists).

Krogen, from Marshall, Minn., earned All-Rookie accolades after scoring seven assists from his defenseman position in 16 conference games. For the season, Krogen had one goals and 12 assists for 13 points. He was also named to the MIAC All-Sportsmanship team.

The Pipers finished the 2006-07 season with a record of 7-18, 3-13 in the MIAC.
