Long tabbed MIAC Men's Hockey Athlete of the Week

Sophomore forward Joe Long tallied one goal and three assists against St. John's and was named MIAC Athlete of the Week, the MIAC announced on Monday.

Long tallied a goal and three assists as the Pipers earned a series split with Saint John's over the weekend. On Saturday night, the Pipers defeated the Johnnies 2-1 behind a pair of assists from Long. He added a goal and an assist in Sunday's 7-2 loss to the Johnnies. For the season, Long has posted seven goals and three assists in six games.

Long is seventh in the country in goal per game with seven tallied in six games (1.17 pg).

The Pipers stopped an eight-game winless streak against the Johnnies with the win. Hamline was 0-7-1 in their previous eight meetings.
