Bethel shuts out men's hockey

The Royals scored three goals in both the first and second periods to beat Hamline 7-0 Friday night in Blaine, Minn.

Seven different players scored goals for the Royals (11-8-1, 8-2-1 in the MIAC) in the win. Matt Hall started the scoring at 4:08 of the first period with the eventual game-winner. Ryan Adams and Brad Peterson added goals to make the score 3-0 at the end of the first period.

Brad Peterson, Patrick Dynan, and Rory Dynan all scored in the second period for the Royals.

The Royals held a 38-24 advantage in shots on goal for the game - 31-14 after two periods of action.

Hamline (7-13, 3-8) received 31 saves from Matt Wanvig in the loss. The Pipers were 0-of-7 on the power play while the Royals were 2-of-5 with an extra skater.

The two teams will play Saturday night at Drake Arena. Game time is set for 7:15 p.m.
