In the latest USCHO.com poll released today, the Hamline University men's hockey team joined the top fifteen teams in NCAA Division III hockey for the first time, debuting at a tie for #12 in the nation.

The USCHO.com poll is compiled weekly and consists of 20 voters, including 16 coaches of Division III programs and two hockey writers. USCHO.com provides in-depth coverage of college sports, including hockey, lacrosse, soccer and others.

Hamline, with a record of 16-6-4 following a 4-2 win over Saint John's in the MIAC semifinal game on Saturday, is joining the USCHO.com rankings for the first time this week.

In each of the two previous weeks, the Pipers received votes but didn't crack the top 15.

The #12 Pipers, the 2007-08 MIAC champions, will host the #6 St. Thomas Tommies on Wednesday, March 3 at 7:15 p.m. at Drake Arena.
