St. Norbert skates past men's hockey
The Pipers, who fall to 1-12-2 on the season, stayed with the highly touted Green Knights (13-2-2). After a scoreless first period, the Green Knights scored a lone goal in the second on James Switzer's second goal of the season. They would later add goals by Andy Cote (3:05) and Andrew Berton (7:54) in the third period. St. Norbert held a slim 21-18 advantage in shots on goal over the last two periods and a 33-22 edge for the game. Hamline netminder Todor Petkov made 30 saves in the contest. Kyle Jones made 22 saves for the win. The Pipers held the explosive Green Knight power play to 0 of 7 on the night. Hamline was 0 of 5 with an extra skater. Hamline will host Concordia in a two-game set starting next Friday night at Drake Arena. Game time is set for 7:15 p.m. |
