Men's basketball falls to St. Thomas![]()
![]() The Pipers (5-13, 3-10 in the MIAC) shot 52.6 percent from the field in the contest (30-57), but the Tommies (16-2, 12-1) converted on 70 percent of their shots in the second half and 65 percent for the game (35-54). Tommie Bryan Schnettler scored a game-high 33 points, hitting on 9-of-12 attempts from three-point range. Mike Keating added 18 points while Isaac Rosefelt tallied 15 points and nine rebounds. Thrasher was 14-of-20 from the floor in the contest. After Thrasher's 30, first-year Brad Brake scored 12 points - 10 coming in the second half - and sophomore Jon DeRock chipped in 10 points and five assists. Hamline center Kyle Foster, who is third on the team in scoring and first in rebounding, did not play in the contest. St. Thomas scored the first 12 points in the contest sparked by eight points and two three-pointers from Schnettler. Hamline would cut the lead to six later in the half, but St. Thomas would go into the break leading 45-32. Hamline will travel to St. Mary's on Saturday. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m. |
