Cobbers early run too much for men's basketball
![]() Cobber Luke Linz netted 12 of his game-high 21 points in the first 9:47 of the contest to give Concordia (1-9, 1-4 in the MIAC) a 21-point advantage. The Cobbers continued their hot shooting throughout the first half, connecting on 55 percent of their shots in the first 20 minutes to go up 52-29 at the break. The lead ballooned to a many as 30 in the first half before the Pipers (3-8, 1-5) cut the lead to 23. Concordia shot 54.5 percent for the contest (36-66) while the Pipers made 39.7 percent of their shot attempts (25-63). Sophomore guard Jon DeRock and first-year forward Luke Johanson paced Hamline with 13 points apiece. Senior Kyle Foster added nine points, and sophomore Tony Thrasher chipped in eight. Linz led three Cobbers in double figures. Erik Johnson netted 14 points on 7-of-10 shooting. Cody Dyshaw came off the bench to tally 10 points. The Pipers will host Carleton Monday night at Hutton Arena. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
