Thrasher's 21 not enough for men's basketball
![]() Thrasher added 3 of 5 shooting from behind the arc, but no other Pipers (2-5) scored in double figures. Charley Good added nine points while leading scorer Jon DeRock was held to four points and six assists. Hamline trailed by as many as 10 in the first half before cutting the lead to 41-37 at halftime. The Pipers were red hot in the first half shooting 56 percent (15-27) from the floor, but Luther shot 47 percent (15-32) and made 9 of 12 free throws for the lead. Luther broke the game open with a 15-3 run early in the second half. Jake Lappe scored seven of his game-high 23 points during the spurt. Andy Rump added 22 points while Drew Devine scored 12 points. Luther finished shooting 52 percent for the game (31-60) and made 21 of 29 free throws. Hamline attempted just 10 free throws. The Pipers will play at St. Scholastica on Dec. 17. Game time is slated for 3:00 p.m. |
