Gymnasts flip past Gustavus![]()
![]() Hamline defeated the Gusties in the vault (45.075-44.075), uneven bars (44.625-43.375), and floor (44.825-44.5) while narrowly losing in the balance beam (41.625-41.525). Sophomore Kristen Weniger was the only Piper to compete in all four events, posting an all-around score of 34.525. She won the floor exercise with a score of 9.275. She was just ahead of teammate Brynn Stenslie, who tallied a 9.25. Stenslie, who is the reigning WIAC balance beam champion, scored a 9.25 in the event - six-tenths better than any other competitor. Hamline took three of the top four spots in the uneven bars with sophomore Kayla Sirmans winning the event with a score of 9.325. Senior Katie Davis was second (9.025), and sophomore Alisha Anderson was fourth (8.95). Davis led the Pipers in the vault, posting a 9.125. The Pipers will next compete on Monday at UW-Stout. Meet time is set for 7:00 p.m. |
