The Hamline gymnastics team lost their last dual meet of the season to Winona State 175.9-174-875 Wednesday night in Winona, Minn.

In the team's final tuneup before the WIAC Championships and West Regional, the Pipers won three of four events, but couldn't come away with the victory.

The Pipers had narrow victories in the vault, beam, and floor. However, the Warriors made up for it by outscoring the Pipers 42.25-40.5 in the uneven bars.

First-year Alex Hughes led the way in the vault, placing second overall with a score of 9.25.

Junior Caitlin Goodin was the Pipers' leading scorer in two events as she posted an 8.525 in bars and 9.25 in the floor exercise.

First-year Brynn Stenslie was second overall in the beam, scoring a 9.025.

The Pipers will compete in the WIAC Championships/West Regional on March 3 at UW-Oshkosh.
