Schultz named D3football.com All-West Region third team

Schultz, from Rollingstone, Minn., led the Pipers in tackles for the fourth consecutive season. He amassed 362 career tackles in his four seasons with 82 stops (46 solo, 36 assists) coming in his senior season.

In 2006, he was the second-leading tackler in the MIAC during conference games, averaging 9.0 tackles per contest. He also added two interceptions, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery.

Schultz was named ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V on November 9.

Schultz earned All-MIAC last season along with ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District V, D3football.com All-West Region second team, and Don Hansen's Football Gazette All-America third team. He was named a Pre-Season All-American by Don Hansen's Football Gazette prior to the 2006 season.
