The Pipers lost two games to Williams College, falling in the first game 5-4 on Thursday before losing 2-0 in a game that was completed Saturday at the Greater Phoenix Invitational.

In the first game, the Pipers (9-8) knotted the game at 4-4 in the sixth inning when Pat O'Laughlin doubled in Andrew Bennett, who also doubled to start the inning.

Williams answered with a walk-off win in the bottom of the seventh. Sean Gleeson singled home the game-winning run off Brian Martin with one out in the inning.

Martin went 6 1/3 innings, allowing four earned runs. He struck out eight and walked two.

Hamline took a 3-2 lead after scoring a run in the fourth and two more in the fifth. O'Laughlin doubled home Bennett in the fourth. Josh Roiger added an RBI triple in the fifth and later scored on a groundout.

Bennett and O'Laughlin each had two hits for the Pipers.

In game two, the Pipers played to a scoreless 0-0 tie with the Ephs through five innings when a rain delay pushed the conclusion to Saturday.

Andrew Seymour and Adam Letson combined to allow just seven hits in the contest, but Letson took the loss. He allowed two runs in 2 2/3 innings.

Hamline was held to four hits in the game - two by shortstop Andrew Bennett.
