    Access Requests

Professors can request after-hours access to classrooms/laboratories for students by using the following process:

    • Access Piperline
    • Go to “Grant After Hours Permissions” under “Employee Services”
    • Fill out the online form

Faculty unable to get in to their building/office after hours may also call our office for access.

    Vehicle Services

The following services are available for Hamline Community members:

    • Vehicle escorts are available to, from, or within campus.  Escort boundaries are Dan Patch Avenue, Lexington Avenue, Highway 94, and Cleveland Avenue.
    • Jump Starts are available for Hamline Community member vehicles within the escort range.  Jump starts are limited to individuals without outstanding parking fines.
    • Vehicle unlocks are available for Hamline Community member vehicles within escort range.

    Hamline ID/Key Generation

The Safety and Security office creates and supervises the creation and use of ID cards and keys on campus.  If an ID card or specific key is needed, the appropriate form needs to be filled out at the Safety and Security office.  Replacements for ID cards incur a $25 charge that must be paid via a student’s account or at the Cashier’s office.

The Safety and Security office also grants proxy card access across campus.  To gain card access to an area, the appropriate form needs to be filled out at the Safety and Security office
