Greetings from Religious and Spiritual Life!
As a United Methodist related university, Hamline welcomes people of all religious traditions as well as those with none. Recognizing that Hamline’s campus community is religiously diverse, the programs of Religious and Spiritual Life are committed to:
- Building bridges connecting the sacred, academic and social aspects of life on campus;
- Fostering spiritual exploration and growth;
- Promoting compassion, justice, and concern for the common good; and
- Providing personal, emotional, and spiritual support to the campus community.
The Religious and Spiritual Life is a part of the Wesley Center for Spirituality, Service, and Social Justice.
Piper Pilgrimage 2012
What is a Pilgrimage?
A sacred journey to a sacred place. The 2012 Piper Pilgrimage is a journey to Abiquiu, New Mexico, to a spiritual retreat center named Ghost Ranch, which welcomes people of many different religious traditions.
What will we do?
We will spend the mornings and evenings together creating our own community by exploring spirituality in an interfaith context. We will also have the chance to hike and enjoy the beautiful landscape. In the afternoons, we will be visiting with different religious and spiritual groups in the area that live in community.
What is the cost?
Each student will pay $100 upon acceptance. The Mahle Endowment will provide all the costs for plane, residency at Casa Del Sol, and food.

Who is it for?
