The Master of Fine Arts in Writing is a terminal degree for students who wish to pursue careers as writers in any of the creative media, and/or who want to teach writing at the college level.

The Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Children and Young Adults is a two-year M.F.A. degree in Writing for Children and Young Adults.

The M.A.L.S. program at Hamline, is an innovative concept in graduate education designed to offer the serious student opportunities to explore freely among academic, artistic, spiritual, and professional issues and ideas.
