(Day 20) January 22: Monday (Surin - Buriram - Phanom Rung - Surin)
This day we travel from Surin to Buriram and then on to the majestic mountain top Khmer sanctuary of Prasat Phanom Rung, with its famous "Sleeping Vishnu Lintel," and then down to the "Lower City" of Muang Tham where we look at the restored ruins and then visit the nearby ancient baray (Khmer for "reservoir") and then possibly stopping along the way at the lesser ruins of Kuti Reussi and Ban Bu. We then take bus back to Surin for our last night there.
