(Malformed frog image from MPCA site.)  The interdisciplinary approach of this course requires discussion of environmental issues from the perspectives of different disciplines such as biology, sociology, religion, philosophy, law and economics.  In addition, various perspectives within each discipline may also be discussed.  The power of politics in protecting the environment and different strategies for future efforts to conserve the environment will also be examined.
The course will have several guest speakers, field trips, video and slide presentations.
This web site contains a summarized version of the information which is available at the first class of the course.  It does, however, contain some additional resources for the course and is the site to which student work will be linked. (Image from WorldWatch site.)
