Tuesday

HUSC general assembly meeting during convo hour in GLC 100E. husc@hamline.edu

Join President Linda Hanson in a conversation from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. in Sundin Music Hall about what’s happening at Hamline. Classes will not be canceled and offices will remain open during the conversation. The event will also be broadcasted over the university website.

The MISA Lunch Series continues with “Wings and Wisdom,” in which Jermaine Singleton, Fahima Aziz and Jim Bonilla highlight their struggles and triumphs in academia.

Learn about the Global Studies department in this information session. Giddens Learning Center, 106W, 11:15 a.m.-noon.

Wednesday

Join the Education Club for Pi Day. Donate $1 to the club and get your piece of pi, as well as enter a raffle for a free piece [sic].

Wells Fargo Financial on-campus interviews will be held in the Career Development Center, DSC 113. They will begin at 9 a.m.

The Peace Corps will be on campus to give information to students. GLC, 110W. 4-6 p.m.

Buddhist meditation at 4 p.m. in the Chapel.

Thursday

Oracle staff meeting during convo hour in DS 106. oracle@hamline.edu

Torah study is at 4-5 p.m. in the chapel. The study will be led by Rabbi Esther Adler.

Gospel Choir at 7 p.m. in the Chapel.

No Consumer Left Behind: Globalization, Classism, and the Corporatization of the U.S. Schools. Klas Center, Kay Fredericks Ballroom. 3:45-4:15 p.m. (registration and reception) and 4:15-5:45 p.m. (program). Cost is $10.

Friday

Dr. Barbara Elvecrog presents “A Jog Down Memory Lane”- a presentation on the brain and memory. Sorin A & B, noon. Cost is $10. Lunch is provided.

Three MFA graduate candidates read selections from their theses. Refreshments are provided. GLC, 100E. 7:30 p.m.

Professor Van Dusenbery will deliver a presentation entitled “Diaspora Philanthropy: A Case Study of Sikhs Giving Back to Punjab” based off of his time in India as part of the International Roundtable Series. Refreshments will be provided. GLC, 1S. 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Saturday

Prepare for your last week of tests and classes before spring break.

Sunday

The GLA Alumni Reading Series continues with poetry and prose by graduates. Refreshments are provided. 1500 Englewood Ave, 4-6 p.m.
