Hamline Hockey: goaltender Crystal Testolin earned MIAC defense player of the week honors
Sports Editor
Piper sophomore goaltender Crystal Testolin, of the women’s hockey team, was named Women’s Hockey Defensive Player of the week by U.S. College Hockey online (USCHO.com), last week. Testolin received the honor in the wake of her 51 shots stopped against the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, two weeks ago.
The game against UW-River Falls ended in a 2-2 tie, in which the goaltender had a .962 save percentage.
The Pipers play a MIAC contest on Dec. 1 at Gustavus. The game starts at 7 p.m.
