ACTC bus schedule changed
Effective Jan. 29, 2007, the ACTC bus schedule will change in response to criticisms of the current schedule.
This semester the ACTC bus schedule absorbed St. Kate’s intercampus shuttle. As a result, the round-trip time increased by about ten minutes, and the time between campuses increased. In addition, the buses now travel to the different campuses in the same order. Last year, the orders for the two buses were opposite each other.
“We are making changes to respond to student and staff concerns that ride times were too long,” Associated Colleges Director Paul McDougall said in an e-mail to ACTC deans. The new schedule changes the order in which the buses travel to and from the various campuses, and which buses stop at each campus.
The first bus travels from St. Kate’s in St. Paul to Macalester to Hamline to St. Thomas and then back to St. Kates. Round trip is 40 minutes. The second bus travels from St. Kate’s in St. Paul to St. Thomas to St. Kate’s in Minneapolis to Augsburg and then returns to St. Kate’s in St. Paul.
The new schedule has preserved the evening shuttle between the two St. Kate’s campuses, which starts at 6:05 p.m. and runs until 9:35 p.m., stopping every half hour. The second bus runs this route.
The schedule is online at www.associatedcolleges-tc.org/bussched3.htm. A printer-friendly .PDF document is also available.
