It's never too late to register
Since Minnesota allows election-day registration, students who are not registered can still vote. Students who live on campus need to bring their student IDs to their polling place, the Hamline Hi Rise, at the corner of Englewood and Hamline Avenues, just east of campus. An election official will cross-reference names with a list of all on-campus residents, which was sent to Ramsey County for election registration purposes.
Students who do not live on campus should visit the Secretary of State’s polling place finder. It is online at pollfinder.sos.state.mn.us. To register on election day, students should bring state-issued identification. If one’s current address and listed ID address differs, students need to prove residency. This can be done in a myriad of ways; however, the easiest of these are to have a voter who is registered in your precinct vouch for your residency or to bring an original copy of a utility bill due anywhere between 30 days prior to 30 days after election day.
