WorldFest celebrated in colorfull fashion
Sara Shellenbarger/Oracle
In celebration of World Fest 2006, many events with an international emphasis occurred last week, from panel discussions with Latin American students, an international coffee and tea hour, a lecture on Bombay Cinema, an international dance party, and perhaps the most colorful event, the international fashion and talent show.
Students from Hamline and other ACTC schools, along with faculty members and guests modeled traditional dress from over ten countries. Others performed Latin American dances or, as pictured above, a dance native to India. The four women involved in this dance wore bright flowing pieces that earned the audience’s biggest applause.
