More CLA dean candidates to visit

The third candidate for the CLA dean position spent last Wednesday and Thursday visiting the university campus.
Fernando Delgado, following the standard of the other candidates, visited with students last Wednesday. Present at the forum was HUSC president Shanelle Evens, Theta Chi president Colin Schulte and first-year HUSC representative Taylor Seeman.

Delgado is currently dean of the College of Graduate Studies and Research at Minnesota State University at Mankato, a position he has held since July of 2004.

In addition to the three candidates who have already visited campus, the search committee is inviting two other candidates to campus for visits and interviews.

David Jett Pittenger, the acting associate provost for academic administration at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC). Pittenger has held been the acting associate provost at UTC since 2004.

He began his campus visit on Monday, April 17. His visit will go through April 18. According to the university events calendar, the open student forum was not scheduled when this issue of the Oracle went to press.

Also coming is Vandana Kohli. Kohli is a professor of Sociology at California State University at Bakersfield (CSUB), a position she has held since 2004. She will be on visiting campus on April 19-20. Her open student forum was also not scheduled when the Oracle went to press.
