Mens CC ranked 19th nationally
Mens cross country took second in this weekends Dan Huston Invitational at Wartburg College. Travis Bristow, who was recently named as the MIAC’s male cross country athlete of the week, led the team in the 4,000 Meter race with a time of 12:18. His team was close on his heals, as Jeff Metzdorff, Chris Yotter, and Tony Klappa all finished within the next twenty seconds, and all within the top ten slots at the meet.
Team mates Brandon Gleason, Chris Lutz, and Dan Peterson also scored well, with twelth, seventeenth, and thirty-seventh place finishes (respectively).
The team was ranked 19th in Division III in the most recent Men’s Intercollegiate Cross Country Coaches Association poll. This marks the first time since the 1980’s that Hamline has been nationally ranked in cross country.
