President Hanson begins year with new cabinet

For the first time in 17 years, someone other than Larry Osnes will open a school year. When classes begin on Wednesday, Dr. Linda Hanson will welcome her first incoming class as University President.
The president’s office has changed too. New walls and doors partition the office, which is on the west side of the first floor of Old Main. Beige wallpaper, bordered by wood trim covers the once-white walls. Inside her chambers, a small kitchenette hides behind a wall. One finds a round table immediately upon entering the office. There Hanson sat in black slacks, a black shirt and a pink blazer as she chatted with the Oracle.
Before coming to Hamline, Hanson was the president of the College of Santa Fe, an office she held from 2000 until last July 1, when she officially took over as the university’s 19th president.
