    October 13-14, 2011

    This year's theme for the Wesley Scholars' and Mahle Scholars' retreat was "Keeping our Lives in Balance".  We traveled to Dunrovin Retreat Center, along the St. Croix River near Stillwater for an overnight of spiritual exploration, journaling, guided meditation, baking bread and getting to know one another better.  Participants included Wesley Scholars:  Michael Riley,  Rachel Marzahn, Rola Alkatout, Mac Garrett, Jozie Nummi, Cassidy Kleinheksel, Caitlin Nosanov, and Beth Ziebarth; and Mahle Scholars: Christine Hubred and Kaisa Jackson.  Religious and Spiritual Life staff from the Wesley Center included Megan Dimond and Nancy Victorin-Vangerud.

    Come and enjoy the public presentation of the Spirituality Scholars' projects, inspired by NPR's Krista Tippett, on Tuesday, May 10 from 11:30 a.m.-12:45 p.m. in Anderson Center Forum. This year's program theme is "listen for the sacred." Open to all, light refreshments provided.

    Hamline University is honored to announce that Wuang Yang, a junior in the College of Liberal Arts, was chosen as a 2016 Newman Civic Fellow Award recipient.

    Chaplain Nancy Victorin-Vangerud and Rabbi Esther Adler invite applications for the 2016-17 Spirituality Scholars Program. The theme will be Healing, Wholeness, Holiness?: Staying Grounded While Exploring the Mystery. Applications are due by Monday, May 2.
