    Tutoring

    Hamline University students tutor Hamline Elementary students in their classrooms and focus on subjects such as Everyday Math, Reader’s Workshop, Science, Writing, and English as a Second Language.

    The mission of the Tutoring Program is to provide high-quality tutoring at Hamline Elementary that enriches learning opportunities for both university and elementary students. Hamline Elementary students and teachers gain extra support in the classroom, while Hamline University students learn what it’s like to work in the field of Education. University students can earn money through Federal Work-Study funds.

    Hamline University is honored to announce that Elena Anderson, a junior in the College of Liberal Arts, was chosen as a 2015 Newman Civic Fellow Award recipient.

    On Thursday, April 16 two Hamline students, a Hamline faculty member, and a Hamline community partner were recognized at a special awards ceremony and luncheon during Minnesota Campus Compact's Annual Summit and Awards Ceremony.

    The McVay Youth Partnership is looking for Hamline students to serve as mentors and role models with urban middle and high school youth in their after-school program.
