Reserving the Student Activities Van The Student Activities Office manages the use of an 11-passenger Hamline University van. Registered student organizations are welcome to request the use of the van for off-campus events, field trips, and service projects. The van is rented out on a first come, first serve basis, and is available to the whole Hamline Community, with preference for officially recognized student organizations. The process for requesting use of the van is simple; just fill out a Student Activities Van Request form. Reserving the van is free of charge. However, we require all groups who use the van to completely fill the gas tank upon their return. Please make requests at least more than two weeks prior to the date you intend to use the van to ensure sufficient time for processing your request. All van requests must include the name and contact information of a van-certified driver (certified through Hamline Safety & Security) and Hamline University account information for billing. Although use of the van is free, the Student Activities Office reserves the right to assess a fee to any group that does not refill the gas tank upon their return, or clean up after themselves in the van.
