Safety & Security Services Our Purpose Safety and Security is responsible for providing a safe academic, working, and living environment for the entirety of the Hamline community and its visitors. Sex Offender Information Hamline Alert and FAQ Safety and Security Services Access Requests Professors can request after-hours access to classrooms/laboratories for students by using the following process: Access Piperline Go to “Grant After Hours Permissions” under “Employee Services” Fill out the online form Faculty unable to get in to their building/office after hours may also call our office for access. Vehicle Services The following services are available for Hamline Community members: Vehicle escorts are available to, from, or within campus. Escort boundaries are Dan Patch Avenue, Lexington Avenue, Highway 94, and Cleveland Avenue. Jump Starts are available for Hamline Community member vehicles within the escort range. Jump starts are limited to individuals without outstanding parking fines. Vehicle unlocks are available for Hamline Community member vehicles within escort range. Hamline ID/Key Generation The Safety and Security office creates and supervises the creation and use of ID cards and keys on campus. If an ID card or specific key is needed, the appropriate form needs to be filled out at the Safety and Security office. Replacements for ID cards incur a $25 charge that must be paid via a student’s account or at the Cashier’s office. The Safety and Security office also grants proxy card access across campus. To gain card access to an area, the appropriate form needs to be filled out at the Safety and Security office Lost & Found If you lose anything, stop by the Safety and Security office to see if it has been turned in. If you find anything that has been lost, please bring it to us.
