About Hamline's Ombudsman
Molly McAvoy has served as Hamline University's Ombudsman since the creation of the office in 2005. Prior to that, Molly provided Ombuds services on a part-time basis since 1998.
Molly is a trained mediator and has had extensive training in Ombuds-specific skills through the
International Ombudsman Association. Molly has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in conflict resolution coursework. She earned a certificate in dispute resolution from the Hamline University School of Law's Dispute Resolution Institute.
A member of the International Ombudsman Association, Molly has served on the board of directors and as a committee co-chair.
