    What is Respondus?

    Respondus allows you to:

    • create and edit tests and surveys on your computer that can be printed on paper or published directly to your Blackboard Learn course.
    • import, manage, and publish exams from sources such as a publisher's course cartridge as well as other file formats.
    • install a LockDown browser that provides a secure environment in which to take an exam.

    Download and Install Respondus

    To get ready to use Respondus, please follow click here and follow the two step instructions: Respondus 4.0 Download and Installation Page 

    Once you have downloaded and installed Respondus on your computer, you will need to activate the program when you open it the first time. At the prompt (see image below), input the Institution Name, Local Support Contact, and Installation Password which you will locate in your e-mail.

    Respondus Campus-Wide Install 

    Please note : Hamline's Respondus license is valid through July 31st every year. You will need to input a password annually. Also when you access the program on your computer, you will need to update the annual license key. To obtain the new key, please navigate to the Hamline Respondus download page and complete Step 1 only. New users to Respondus, follow both Steps 1 and 2."
