Hamline Career Link is the Career Development Center's on-line job posting, recruiting and communication system. Available 24/7/365, it allows students and alumni to have access to information and the ability to do job/internship search activities when it's convenient for them. Hamline Career Link is available to Hamline students and alumni only. The system also allows employers to post positions directly, schedule recruiting events, and join Piper Connect, a professional networking database. Login to Hamline Career Link and take advantage of the following features of the system:
Browse hundreds of local and national opportunities from reputable employers. Streamline your search by applying filters based on your preferred industry, job function, and more. Create custom Job Search Agents so you'll be notified each time a new job that meets your interests is posted.
You can store multiple versions of your resume and cover letter in the system, and apply to postings with a click. In addition, you can choose to opt-in to resume books to make your resume accessible to employers and track your resume hits.
Connect with professionals, (mostly Hamline alums) in the field of your career interest for questions, advice and informational interviews.
View and download information handouts and tips on wide range of topics such as cover letters, resumes, interviewing, internships, majors, networking, graduate school, and more. Documents are categorized and include descriptions that make it simple to identify the document's focus. Once you're logged in, just click the View Document Library link under the SHORTCUTS menu on your home page.
The Career Development Center offers a variety of workshops throughout the year to help you develop and refine your career-related skills. From writing a resume to preparing for a career fair; workshops provide all the tips and skills you need to ensure job search success. Simply login to view and RSVP for upcoming career events and workshops.
Job Blast is a feature in Hamline Career Link which allows you to receive job or internship postings selected by the Career Development Center professionals. If you ‘opt in’ you will be notified via email when featured opportunities that match your major or interest area are posted in Hamline Career Link. To turn on the Job Blast email notification, login to your Hamline Career Link account, click "Privacy Settings’ under the "Getting Started" menu on your student home page and select ‘Yes’ to Receive Email Job Blasts.
All On-Campus Recruiting events such as interviews and information sessions are managed through Hamline Career Link. Simply login to find out which employers will be hosting interviews and information sessions on-campus. You can apply and sign-up for On-Campus Interviews and RSVP for Information Sessions at your convenience.
Connect your Hamline Career Link account with your Facebook or subscribe to receive text message reminders and stay up-to-date with all your career related commitments and upcoming opportunities. To connect your account with Facebook, click the Facebook ikon on the upper right corner of your home page. To receive text message alerts, click "Privacy Settings" under the "Getting Started" menu on your student home page and select "Yes" to Enable Text Message Alerts.
Don't want to remember another username and password? Don't worry! You have the option to login to Hamline Career Link through your Facebook or LinkedIn. All you need to do is authorize the connection between Facebook or LinkedIn and Hamline Career Link by logging into the social media account of your choice and then logging into Hamline Career Link. Once the two accounts have been authorized, you will be able to login to Hamline Career Link using your Facebook or LinkedIn username and password.
