  • Academic Affairs

    The Office of the Provost, headed by Eric Jensen, works closely with academic and student support units to: 

    • Provide intellectual and administrative leadership of the faculty and academic support staff. 
    • Oversee the development of the academic program and the assessment of student academic performance. 
    • Recruit, orient, develop, and evaluate the faculty. 
    • Develop and administer the curriculum. 
    • Supervise the academic support programs
    • Facilitate a strong working relationship between university athletics and academics and student life programs.
    • Develop and recommend the academic budget, in consultation with deans, department chairs and program directors.

    These goals are achieved primarily through the work of the Deans' Council, chaired by Provost Jensen.

    • On Thursday, May 30, come learn how to develop critical skills nonprofit professionals need to successfully lead projects and people from Hamline's director of Nonprofit Programs at our complimentary luncheon seminar. This event will be held at the Wilder Center on 451 Lexington Parkway North in Saint Paul, MN from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
    • The School of Business is proud to announce the recipients to the 2013 Excellence in Teaching award, Nancy Webber, full-time instructor and John Winstandley, part-time instructor, and the 2012 - 2013 Leadership award to Stacie Bosley, assistant professor; Jim Scheibel, honorary professor of practice; and Sandra Immerman, Graduate Programs adviser.
