The archives displays items from its collections in two venues. Suggestions for topics or themes for future exhibits are welcome. Contact the archives with suggestions or questions at 651-523-2080 or send an email to archives@hamline.edu.
Ron and Marilyn Mitsch History Lounge
This interactive history center, which is located on the first floor of the Klas Center, highlights photos and historical facts about Hamline University. A display cabinet provides space for topical exhibits created by the staff of the archives or other university groups.
Currently on display: "Hamline & the Civil War" commemorates the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the war. Featured are students who served in the war and those who made the flag that flew over the university during the war.
Alumni House
The Alumni House, at the corner of Englewood and Simpson, features a small display area on the main floor.
Currently on display: "Hamline Traditions" covers current and defunct customs from Proposal Rock to freshman beanies to the Ugly Man contest and many more.
