  • Master in Nonprofit Management

    A Bold Invention

Hamline didn't reinvent the master's in nonprofit management -- we invented it. The only degree of its kind in the Midwest, Hamline's nationally known program has been serving the top nonprofit community leaders for the past 10 years. The Hamline MNM integrates the best theories and practices of nonprofit management to produce innovative leaders who push the boundaries of the field and boldly move it forward.

My degree has absolutely helped me in my current work. I use it regularly. When the leadership teams meet, I can offer useful insight into the various organizational issues and nonprofit rules and regulations. I still refer to some of the course materials when discussing issues at work.

    Program Options

Our programs are designed for working professionals, with evening classes, flexible scheduling, and a choice of locations.

    Traditional Model
As a student on our Saint Paul campus, you can select either full- or part-time study, enjoy a choice of electives and concentrations, and pursue cross-sector dual degrees. Take twelve 4-credit courses in 14-week terms, and complete the program in two to four years.

    Cohort Model
The Master in Nonprofit Management program is offered in a cohort format at our Minneapolis location. The program is tailored to meet the scheduling needs of working professionals with evening classes (one night per week), eight-week terms, and online components.
