Basford Presents

Letitia Basford, assistant professor in Hamline’s School of Education, presented a talk at Minnesota’s National Association for Multicultural Education conference titled, "Teaching Cultural Competence: Strategies for connecting predominantly white pre-service teachers to the core values of cultural responsiveness." In it she described how cultural competence can be defined, taught, and measured as faculty prepare new teachers to work with the diverse range of K-12 students in public schools.
