Hamline invites those interested in public administration to advance
their careers—on their schedules—and in their zip codes—with the new
Hamline School of Business online master in public administration program.
Hamline educates students to serve as
innovators and leaders in their field. The learning environment draws on the
expertise of a network of faculty, advisors, alumni, and professionals. It merges theory with practice and academic learning with relevant, real-world
experience. Students have the opportunity to apply classroom instruction to
their professional lives, using their acquired knowledge for the good of their
communities.
This degree is designed for working professionals interested in the dynamics of
the public sector. The program provides the knowledge and tools students need
to enhance their careers, as both managers of public employees and
administrators meeting the fiduciary responsibilities of expending tax
dollars. Students in the program will:
- Take courses online with weekend residencies
every two months at Hamline’s Minneapolis location.
- Learn with and from colleagues who share their
challenges and offer a wide range of perspectives. As members of a cohort,
students will gain practical knowledge and life-long networks.
- Interact and engage with Hamline’s exceptional
instructors who will provide a quality educational experience from the
oldest and most prestigious MPA in the region.
Hamline is
currently enrolling students in this program for classes beginning in January
2012. For more information, email the Office of Graduate Admission, call 651-523-2900 or, apply online now.
