• Leadership and Support

    The following committee and offices are responsible for leading and supporting learning outcomes assessment work at Hamline University:

    The Standing Committee on Learning Outcomes Assessment (CLOA) is comprised of faculty and staff representatives who coordinate and support the work of assessment across the university and collaborate with the members of the Deans’ Council to set directions and goals for university-level learning assessment.

    The Director of Learning Assessment chairs CLOA and has administrative responsibility for coordinating and supporting university-level learning assessment initiatives.

    The Provost's Office oversees learning assessment at Hamline and, together with the academic and student affairs deans, works with CLOA to set directions and goals for university-level learning assessment.

    The Office of Institutional Effectiveness provides guidance on assessment methods as well as data synthesis and analysis for university-level learning assessment.

    The Center for Teaching and Learning coordinates and offers professional development workshops on course and curriculum development, pedagogy and learning assessment, and instructional and assessment technology.
