    Achieving your academic best at Hamline Law takes dedication, determination, and knowing how to access the resources you need precisely when you need them. Morgan Holcomb, associate dean for academic affairs, and our approachable faculty and staff are in your corner to help you meet the challenges you may face in your studies.     The Office of the Registrar

    The Office of the Registrar handles all of your registration, record-keeping needs, and course information from matriculation to graduation. Course schedules and descriptions,  exam information, the academic calendar, and degree requirements are meticulously maintained by the Registrar and her helpful staff. Located in 110.

    Academic Excellence

    Hamline Law's Academic Excellence helps you manage the demands of law school academics and prepare for the bar exam with individual tutoring, structured study groups, and workshops, as well as a host of bar exam prep materials and resources through our exclusive partnership with BARBRI, the nation's premiere bar preparation service.

    Career Services Office

    Get help exploring professional development events and opportunities, and researching job prospects through the Career Services Office. The Career Services Officers can help with career counseling, resume assistance, and coaching for on-campus interviews as well. Located in 201.

    Experiential Learning

    Put classroom learning into practice with skills labs, clinics, and externships. Refine your practice skills with student competitions. Explore options with the Minnesota Justice Foundation (MJF) to fulfill your pro bono requirement.

    Legal Research and Writing Program

    Hamline Law's Legal Research and Writing Program goes beyond practical coursework simulating the demands of law practice to include individual tutoring sessions with full-time professors prior to submitting assignments, constructive written feedback on submitted assignments, and optional conferences to review graded assignments. 


    Hamline Law's renown institutes add to our rich academic environment while developing students' ADR, health or business law knowledge and skills. The Institutes offer many courses in dispute resolution, health law, and business law throughout the year, during the Summer Institute, and January term, including study abroad opportunities.

    Hamline Law Library

    Hamline's law library gives you access to modern collections of print, electronic, and microform resources, and AV equipment you may need for course presentations. In addition to the more than 300,000 volumes and electronic databases in our library, you also have access to the libraries of seven other colleges and universities through a consortium arrangement.     Hamline Law Online Bookstore

    Order your textbooks, apparel, and supplies through the Hamline Law Online Bookstore. There is also a small retail location downstairs in the law school building, where you can buy supplies, apparel, snacks, and beverages in a pinch.
