MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults: low-residency program
  • Features award-winning faculty, such as: Emily Jenkins (a/k/a e. lockhart), Ron Koertge, Phyllis Root, Gary D. Schmit, Anne Ursu, and Gene Luen Yang.
  • Learn the elements of the craft at an advanced level as well as a multifaceted understanding of the literary marketplace and increase your chances of being published.
  • Explore genres such as the picture book, middle grade & young adult fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and the graphic novel.
  • Application deadlines

    • January start: Priority admission - October 1; final deadline - November 15.
    • July start: Priority admission - April 1; final admission - May 1
