Hamline Chief Information Officer Mark Kondrak was named to the list of Top 20 Most Innovative CIOs at the Midsize Enterprise Summit. The list shines a spotlight on elite information technology leaders who are using technology to drive the important midmarket business segment of the U.S. economy.

Honorees were chosen for spearheading a successful information technology project that helped a business grow, gain a competitive edge and/or achieve breakthrough results. The twenty final selections were made by the XChange editorial team based on application submissions.

“We are so pleased that Mark has been recognized on the Most Innovative CIO list,” Doug Anderson, Hamline senior vice president for business, finance and technology, said. “Mark has done a tremendous job with the university’s transition to Google and we are extremely grateful for his vision and leadership.”

Kondrak led the effort to transition the entire Hamline University community to Google’s cloud-based services including Gmail, Google Calendar, and Google Drive. Having students, faculty, and staff all using the same platform has led to seamless collaboration across the entire university, especially in the areas of scheduling appointments and sharing electronic documents.

“We are thrilled to promote the dynamic CIOs who are leading today’s midmarket companies to great success by leveraging the power of IT to make a positive impact and transform the way their organization does business,” Lisa MacKenzie, senior vice president of XChange Events, said in a release. “The midmarket is integral to today’s economy, and its leaders deserve recognition for their dedication to innovation and constant pursuit of excellence. We congratulate these forward-thinking executives and wish each of them continued success.”
