MFA students: rock, paper, scissors is calling for editors!
The Editor-in-Chief handles the budget of RPS, plans all events related to the magazine (full staff meetings, parties, meet and greets), works with the section editors to finalize their respective collections, works closely with the Designer-In-Chief to produce the physical magazine and maintain the online component of the magazine.
Preferred candidates have: prior experience on either the board or as a section editor of RPS or equivalent experience with a literary magazine. This position involves reading all submissions across all genres.
The Designer-in-Chief is responsible for the design and execution of the physical magazine. Will select a design board to develop concepts, aesthetics, and create a whole look/feel to the entire product from the physical magazine to the website.
Preferred candidates have: knowledge of Adobe InDesign or similar document design programs, experience with a literary magazine or similar publication is also a plus. This position also involves reading all submissions across all genres.
3) Fiction Editor
The Fiction Editor works with the Fiction Board to review all submissions to the Fiction section and curate a final collection to be included in the magazine.
4) Creative Non Fiction Editor
The Creative Non Fiction Editor works with the Creative Non Fiction board to review all submissions to the Creative Non Fiction section and curate a final collection to be included in the magazine, for real.
5) Poetry Editor
