The Staff Diversity Development Initiative committee has chosen Alfred Lubrano’s Limbo: Blue-Collar Roots, White-Collar Dreams
for the spring reading circle. This book uncovers a cultural phenomenon of people raised in blue-collar families, living white-collar lives. The book presents a thoughtful look at this phenomenon though the author's personal story and those of 100 interviewees, all struggling with the duality that exists in their workplaces, their hearts, and their minds.
The first half of the book will be discussed on Wednesday, April 9 from 3 p.m. - 4 p.m. and the second half of the book will be discussed on Thursday, April 24 from 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. A limited number of books have been purchased to support staff members who are interested in participating in the Spring Book Club.
