The Hamline Young Writers Workshop is a chance for high school students (age 15 - 18) who are passionate about creative writing to explore the craft, connect with other young writers in the Twin Cities, and work closely with Hamline Creative Writing faculty and published authors. Students attending the workshop will receive in-depth instruction each morning from a published author in poetry, fiction, or creative nonfiction and in the afternoon there will be mini-courses in writing, book arts, or literary magazine production. They will also take a field trip exploring literary sites in the Twin Cities. This workshop is June 16- 20 and ends with the students participating in a community reading.
