The offices of Development and Alumni Relations and the Provost would like to announce some staff transitions as two colleagues take on new positions at Hamline.
Tim Traffie will move from his position in Registration and Records to a new position as director of advancement operations in Development and Alumni Relations. Traffie has been an invaluable resource and leader for Hamline’s academic mission over a period of substantial growth and change at the institution. His expertise, collaborative energy, and enthusiasm are great assets to the university, and he will still be a vital force in the community. Traffie started at Hamline in 2000, working in the alumni office. In his new position, Traffie will provide leadership and direction to the areas of gift processing, reporting, research, and stewardship.
Gwenn Sherburne has agreed to step in and serve as the university registrar. Sherburne began at Hamline in 1997, and has been in Registration and Records since 2004, working with Traffie (in her role as associate registrar) since 2008. Her thorough understanding of Hamline curriculum is matched only by her expert understanding of how to oversee and maintain the integrity of that curriculum. She has served in various leadership roles throughout the university, and she will provide a seamless shift as Traffie transitions to his new role- while also bringing her own deep knowledge and substantial vision to the on-going work of the Registrar's Office.
