Twenty-nine Hamline School of Law students graduated with certificates in general health law and health care compliance from Hamline's Health Law Institute (HLI) this spring. HLI also saw its first cohort of online health care compliance certificate students complete their studies this spring. The curriculum and programs coordinated by HLI have led to Hamline’s ranking as a top 20 health law program by U.S. News and World Report, 2014 Edition. The general health law certificate combines coursework, experiential learning, and networking opportunities that provide students with knowledge, skills, and insight critical to the successful practice of health law.
The certificate shows future employers that students have concentrated their studies in health law and have acquired a significant understanding and practical application of health law concepts. Meanwhile, health care compliance certification enables students to be uniquely positioned to make a positive impact as a prepared and effective leader in their chosen health care setting. HLI and the health care compliance certificate are accredited by the Compliance Certification Board (CCB), and Hamline is one of only six institutions accredited by the CCB.
